Connected Communities

The aim of this project is to informally connect and introduce the different communities of Nottingham to its rich and diverse cultures, religions or life experiences. The project allows members of the community to share in the most informal yet engaging way their cultural, religious or life experiences and build new bridges of mutual respect and value. Cohesive Community Placements

This project focuses on creating stronger lasting relationships between the diverse groups brought together by Connected Communities Events. By working with a broad range of diverse groups and volunteers from the local community. It’s the second phase of our efforts to keep building Community Cohesion. The aim was to build on the relationships created in phase one (Connected Communities).

Universal Credit Advice

Community Enterprise Development

Always Community provides grassroots community enterprise training and development support using uniquely engaging grassroots development community enterprise learning tools to unlock this invariably untapped community potential.

Free SIM cards for asylum seekers and refugees

Thanks to Vodafone, Always Community was able to deliver 100 SIM cards to asylum seekers and refugees for free, as a way to support their adaptation process. This project aims to allow these people to access free connectivity.

The Windrush Decision

“The Windrush Decision” project has been made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to deliver a small project researching the unknown sacrifices the Windrush generation made in making that monumental decision to come to the UK. Much is known about their life in UK, but little is known about the sacrifices they made in coming to the UK.
